The Online Valuation Tool is an addon that estate agents can plugin into their website to capture potential new leads that visit their website. This tool provides its customers with instant sales or lettings valuation of their property.
View PrototypeI was in charge of pretty much everything from the Competitor Research, Competitor Matrix Analysis, User Flows, Wireframes, Designs, Prototyping, Emails and exploring some future concepts. I was also in charge of designing the UX/UI that a user would have to go through to get this addon up and running on their website.

Like on most of the projects, I work on I like to start by researching the competition and understand the current standard of the tool we want to build, what are people expecting in terms of functionality and outcomes. Another thing important to understand when doing research is what is the target audience for the tool, what their needs are, problems and how can we make their experience as hassle-free as possible.
A must-have to quickly understand what other competitors currently offer.
Features other competitors have
Form questions that other competitors ask for
Even before these types of wireframes I usually sketch some quick versions on my sketch pad just to get an idea of how things could look and feel.

Top header alternatives with more information
I often create multiple design alternatives for a screen, this helps me to not just focus on a single design.

We had this idea to allow estate agents to choose their form layout style they usually like to have a choice and it allows them to choose a form layout that suits their current website design.
The estate agent CRM (Jupix)
Asking the agent about their branding details so that the OVT tool is branded to their agency
Different estate agencys have different departments that deal with either sales or lettings
Asking the agent for their prefered URL
The tool is ready to use, the agent could then go to the tool dashboard page or view the tool
The Dashboard is where everything related to the OVT tool was going to live, an agent could access it through their CRM and do several things.
For example see what leads had come through (ideally these leads would also show in the agent CRM), see some stats, edit settings, add or remove users access, etc.
This part of the OVT was roughly mocked up to get an idea of how things could work if we pushed this tool to the next level, we could even offer this tool to estate agents that didn't use the Property Software Group CRM's.

There was a need to design two sets of emails, one a customer would receive after going through the online valuation tool and the other one an estate agent would receive with the customer's details.
The customer's email would have to be branded to look like it came from the estate agent itself, this would help to build trust and as a reminder of what the valuation values were.
